This post is an honest review of Courtney Andersen’s 30 Minute Low Impact Kickboxing Workout.

First Impressions of this 30 Minute Workout

As soon as the workout starts, it’s clear that Courtney Andersen is one of those people who make you think, “Of COURSE you’re a trainer.” She’s grinning ear to ear while you’re practically gasping for air. But here’s the thing—her energy is contagious.

Even when you’re dying, her enthusiasm makes you want to keep going. She’s got that magical mix of cheerleader and drill sergeant, pushing you to keep going and making you think “I can totally do this, too.”

Right off the bat I was immediately struck by the scenic mountain backdrop and the cool graffiti floor. The super bright colors were a bit much at first, but they quickly grew on me and ended up keeping me motivated throughout the workout.

The production quality is top-notch, with great lighting and crisp visuals. The upbeat music added to the high-energy vibe, making it hard not to get pumped. Overall, the aesthetics of the video, while initially overwhelming, played a big role in keeping the energy high and the workout enjoyable.

Gear Up: What You’ll Need

No fancy equipment needed for this one—just show up with some grit and energy. That’s one benefit to cardio workouts you usually don’t need to bring anything but your whole self.

Duration & Format

Get ready for a 30-minute workout that’ll get your heart pumping. There’s no warmup or cooldown included, so make sure to add some extra time for those crucial prep and recovery phases.

The workout follows a Tabata-style HIIT format, with each move lasting 20 seconds followed by a quick 10-second breather. And as a bonus—no repeats. This means you’re in for a fast-paced, dynamic routine that keeps you engaged from start to finish.

Instruction & Modifications

There’s no voiceover or modifications for this cardio workout. You just follow along as Courtney demonstrates each movement and do your best to match her energy. It’s all about embracing the challenge and giving it your best effort, just like Courtney does.

Features

This cardio kickboxing workout includes several helpful features to keep you on track. There’s a countdown timer to let you know exactly how much time you have left for each move. The name of the current exercise appears in the corner, and a small preview window shows the next move so you can prepare. These features help you stay focused and make it easy to follow along.

Intensity & Focus

This workout brings the heat, especially if you give it your all. And why wouldn’t you? The more effort you put in, the greater the payoff. Even with this being a cardio workout, there’s still plenty of attention given to many major muscle groups making it a full-body workout.

Energy Level / Cycle Phase

Prepare to bring some serious energy to the table—moderate to high levels are needed, especially if you’re really going for it.

This cardio workout is particularly great for the follicular phase of your cycle, especially during ovulation when you’re craving a sweat session. With your energy levels naturally higher during this phase, you’ll find it easier to tackle the intensity of this workout and push yourself to new limits.

Mom-Life Convenience

This 30 minute workout is perfect for busy moms. It’s super kid-friendly, requiring no equipment and allowing you to easily move around the room to keep an eye on your little ones. In fact, they might even want to join in on the fun. Just be careful where you’re aiming those kicks!

Final Thoughts & Recommendation

I’ll be real—I got really into this cardio kickboxing workout. It reminded me how much I love martial arts and made me feel like a total badass. Even though I don’t usually like cardio, I was so focused on the workout that I forgot how fast my heart was beating. I also loved that Courtney included moves I haven’t seen in other cardio kickboxing workouts. It kept it fresh and exciting for sure.

One thing to note: there were a couple of moments where Courtney was working a different side than mentioned on screen, which threw me off a bit. But overall, it didn’t detract much from the experience.

I would absolutely recommend this workout—it’s definitely one of my new favorites. This was only my second time trying one of Courtney’s workouts, but I’m already hooked. You can bet I’ll be incorporating more of her routines into my future workout sessions. Give it a shot—you won’t be disappointed!
